"I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in April of 1976 to Walt and Faith Chrysler. We moved around a lot when I was younger, and it was certainly tough at times, but my parents both provided me with a reliable foundation that allowed me to persevere, even when I was struggling. From then on, I was committed to doing the same in everything I did.

In 1994, I enlisted in the Minnesota Air National Guard and began my service to my country, all while pursuing my degree at Bemidji State University. While in school, I had several small deployments with the 148th Security Police Squadron, where I attained the rank of E-5/Staff Sergeant.

After graduating with my Bachelors in Computer Science, I moved to Cleveland Ohio. There, I provided a solid baseline of support to the United Church of Christ as the Technology Development and Support Coordinator, and I continued my military service in the 180th Security Forces Squadron at the Toledo Air National Guard Base.

On September 11th, 2001, my life, like those of so many others on that day, was irrevocably changed. My unit was activated to federal duty, and for the next two years I remained on Active Duty. I've been in the Active Duty Reserves program since 2004, and since then, I've gained an invaluable amount of experience. I've been nominated for and received multiple awards and commendations, led and managed multiple teams in several different positions, been heavily involved in technology innovations in my squadron, managed multi-million dollar projects, obtained my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, and successfully advocated for equitable pay for my employees and supervisees. This year, I'll be retiring at the rank of E-8/Senior MasterSergeant after 24 years of Active Service, 30 Years total service.

My military service has defined such a large portion of my life, allowing me to support my country in a deeply impactful way. Just as important, however, is the life I've built here in Wood County. In between my deployments in Saudia Arabia and Germany, I moved to Bowling Green in 2002, and met my wife, Margaret, who I married just a few years later. We've lived here ever since, and we couldn't be happier with where we are.

Now, I'm ready to take everything I've learned - from my parents, my military service, my career, and my time here in Wood County - and bring it to the commissioner's office to make sure our county is providing that essential foundation of support to help every township, village, and city thrive."
